This ambition was rewarded on December 1 in Lethbridge, Alberta, where Simon Plante and his wife Alison Blouin won the prestigious title of Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers. Les Grands Bois: tasting room, new beers and unmissable events!

Les Grands Bois Microbrasserie is preparing the opening of a tasting room in the heart of Saint-Casimir, a warm and inviting space that will welcome visitors all year round. It will embody the microbrewery’s passion for beer and become a veritable meeting place dedicated to exchange and culture. With some fifteen keg lines, Les Grands Bois will offer its regular beers, new brewing experiments and aperitif snacks featuring local produce.

The year 2025 marks the 10th edition of Commission B, their cultural and brewing festival, to be held on June 20, 21 and 22. Saturday will be dedicated to brewing, wine and spirits discoveries from Quebec and Ontario, with some fifteen producers coming together to share their know-how. Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to savour dishes prepared by local artisans. A new non-alcoholic beer will be added to the Petite Pause range, with a launch scheduled for the end of the summer season. In addition, in early June, Les Grands Bois will unveil Division Lager, a new range of experimental lagers combining traditional and modern brewing techniques. 🍺🍸

Finally, the village market Les Vendredis Sains, a veritable meeting point for the community and visitors around local arts and produce, will enter its 5th season this summer. A weekly rendez-vous that celebrates the region’s savoir-faire! ☀️

Prestigious recognition for Cidrerie Verger Bilodeau

In 2025, Cidrerie Verger Bilodeau celebrates several major achievements. It officially becomes an Économusée du Pomiculteur, a recognition that highlights its artisanal know-how and allows visitors to plunge into the heart of the apple-growing profession through an immersive experience. 🍎🍏

This year also marks its 30th anniversary as a cider producer, a fine milestone highlighted by the launch of the 4th cuvée of the very first gin made from 100% apple alcohol. 🥂

Finally, the cidery makes its mark on the international scene by winning the Grand Gold Medal at the Great Lakes International Cider And Perry Competition 2024 (GLINTCAP) for its Nectar de Glace, which placed 3rd! 🏅

Proud of its local commitment, Cidrerie Verger Bilodeau will also be a partner of the Quebec Winter Carnival, from February 7 to 16, 2025, a perfect opportunity to share its know-how and showcase its exceptional products.

A promising season for the Moulin de St-Laurent

The upcoming season promises to be a promising one for the Moulin de St-Laurent, with several initiatives designed to enhance the visitor experience. Committed to an eco-responsible approach, the establishment recently joined Biosphere and is actively working towards certification, affirming its commitment to more sustainable tourism. 🍃 ☘️

In the kitchen, chef Alexandra Gagné is already preparing the 2025 menu, featuring more than 25 producers and artisans from Île d’Orléans and the surrounding area. True to its mission, Moulin de St-Laurent continues to offer an authentic gourmet experience rooted in the local terroir. 🧺 🥬

A maple syrup experience more immersive than ever at Relais des Pins!

In 2025, Le Relais des Pins continues to innovate, offering visitors an immersive and authentic experience. Among the major new features, its immersive video on the maple syrup producer’s trade has been enhanced with an Italian-subtitled version, making it even more welcoming to its international clientele. Already available in French, English and Spanish, it now offers six subtitle options: English, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish and Italian. One more step towards greater accessibility and total immersion in the world of maple, no matter where visitors come from! 🍁

The establishment is also pursuing its Biosphère Engagé approach, reflecting its efforts in sustainable development, and will soon be launching a digital application to enrich the visitor experience while reducing the ecological footprint. 🌿

On the kitchen side, a delicious pulled ham makes its debut on the menu, offering a new maple flavor. 🍖 Upgrades are also planned for November to improve accessibility and make the experience more inclusive.

Casse-Croûte du Roy is all about regional gourmet traditions!

Behind its simple snack-bar exterior, this establishment stands out for its commitment to regional producers, reinventing classics with local ingredients. This effort is notably reflected in their elk burger: an elk patty from Ferme d’élevage J.L. Bédard, served in an artisan bread from Boulangerie le Soleil Levain, topped with a homemade black garlic mayonnaise from Ferme Almana, onion, lettuce and tomato confit, with optional goat’s cheese brie from Fromagerie Alexis de Portneuf. 🍔 🍅

Starting in autumn, a seasonal version of the Portneuf burger will be offered, with a black squid ink bun, local Angus meat, pumpkin mayonnaise and Do-Rémi cheese. 🎃
