We are the Association de l’Agrotourisme et du Tourisme Gourmand du Québec, a sectoral tourism association recognized by Québec’s Ministry of Tourism. We are Québec’s only provincial food tourism network and have been so since 1975!
What is food tourism?
It is the discovery of a region by tourists and other visitors through agritourism and bio-food activities as well as through unique culinary experiences.
Food tourism shines a light on the know-how of agricultural producers and artisan processors. It’s a chance to discover local products and regional dishes unique to Québec, thanks to the warm welcome and insights shared by your hosts.
Terroir et Saveurs du Québec is the brand image of the Association. It is a guarantee of quality recognized throughout Québec for culinary ambassadors passionate about the Québec terroir and who provide enriching agritourism activities and authentic gourmet experiences.
Our big family brings together a rich diversity of businesses: agricultural producers (vineyards, farms, cheesemakers, sugar shacks, cider houses, craft alcohol producers and more), artisan processors (microbreweries, distilleries, chocolate makers, bakeries and others), shops offering local products and establishments serving regional cuisine such as inns and restaurants. Together, they help make Québec a globally recognized culinary destination.
The Association’s mission is to represent, develop and promote the food tourism sector, as well as provide leadership and coordination for the implementation of the Provincial Action Plan for the Future of Food Tourism in Quebec, while supporting companies in their professionalization and in the development of the quality of their offer and their gourmet experience.
